The Forest of Troncais

More than ten thousand hectares composed mainly of sessil oaks of great quality, tricentenaires and plus for some. Past, present and future, I invite you to discover this region located in the heart of the bocage Bourbonnais where life is good.

The Forest.

Situated between the rivers of l`Allier ,to the East and the river `Cher` to the West,  on a plateau with the plains of the Berry to the North and the foothills of the` Massif Central`, to the South.

Within this vaste forest, beside one of the many beautiful lakes ,is the Maison de L`Etang. ( my place for relaxation  and observation for the natural life in the forest) A place to sit in the shade or sun, walk in the seasonal beauty of the forest,  enjoying the total `sound of silence`.

For the active ,the cycle rides are easy or more strenuous depending on desires.  swimming allowed in certain lakes ,with designated areas. Sailing and other non-motorised water activities. Fishing, with a permit for all lakes in the forest. Horseriding, golf and tennis,not too far distant.

Many Chateaux, and historical sites to visit and explore.
